Tetley launches new 'Super Squash' drinks range with creative campaign by Creature

Monday 11th June 2018

Tetley, the brand best known as the nation’s favourite tea, are bringing their expertise in making delicious drinks to the squash category, and are launching a range of fruit squashes with a creative campaign by Creature.

The campaign introduces the three new flavors of fruit squash to the market, all of which are infused with added vitamins that help contribute to a healthy lifestyle. The flavours are: Boost - Strawberry, Raspberry and Apple, Sunshine: Peach and Orange and Immune: Elderflower and Lime.

The TV spot, which launches on Monday 11th June, dramatises how fruit is made a little smarter with the added benefits of these vitamins. It’s a charming, funny spot that fuses together 2D animation, 3D animation and live action – with a variety of fruity characters interacting with a Tetley scientist.

In the spot, we are introduced to a playpen of fruits all behaving in the style of 90’s cartoons: whacky, silly and excited. We see them charge through the doors of the ‘Vitamiser’ in a chaotic and boisterous way, and once inside, they are then infused with vitamins. Exiting the Vitamiser, they have become cultured, witty, and whole lot smarter – to the point where they even get one over on our Tetley scientist.

Ben Middleton, Chief Creative Officer and founder at Creature said, "It's not very often that you get to help a client launch a product in an entirely new category so when we got the chance to do that with Tetley we jumped at it. Needless to say, getting to create a bunch of cool, clever little fruit characters is always fun as well.”

Cassie Shuttlewood, Marketing Manager at Tetley said, “We’ve worked with Creature on the Tetley Tea side of the business for almost 5 years now, and we’ve always been really impressed with the work they’ve delivered for us. We knew that when it came to launching a product in a brand new sector, we needed a partner that we trusted to deliver both strategically and creatively and we’re delighted with the new campaign.“

The 30” spot will be airing from the 11th June with OOH, Experiential, Social and Shopper support.
